Annual Market Review 2017 and Outlook for 2018 – an outlook on worldwide markets

Our clients often tell us that they want to hear more about investment markets and how they are performing.  Clients now want to have a better understanding of where their money is invested and why!   Nowadays clients want to know what drives the investment decisions of fund managers.   This is important regardless of the type of investor you are or the amount invested or indeed whether you are investing in a pension or a savings plan.

With this better understanding and financial literacy comes greater confidence.

Andrew Milligan, Head of Global Strategy at Standard Life Investments has put together this short video where he discusses the key investment lessons we can learn from 2017 and what to watch out for in 2018.  He talks about equities, bonds and commercial property and of course Brexit and Trump must get a mention!  2017 has been an eventful year and this annual market review sums up nicely what has happened in the markets.

I hope you find this informative and if your own investments have been left to do their own thing for a while hopefully this video will encourage you to take a more proactive approach.
